Found the leak! Fixed the leak! Now to get the gutters cleaned. Note to self – when your house is surrounded by trees, you must clean the gutters. Failure to do so will cause water to overflow into areas that should not get wet. So, we need to schedule the gutters to be cleaned. The house has a unique elevation. I like the peaks and valleys on the roof line. As it turns out so does the leaves. We scheduled the gutters to be cleaned. We were told we did not need to be at the house – this is good because we don’t live at the house (so many reasons why…). I received a call from the gutter cleaning company. Imagine this….
Hi Mrs. Wiley. This is (gutter cleaning company). The team is at your house. We are able to clean most of the gutters. There were in really bad shape. We were not able to clean the gutters on the right side of the house because when we went over there a swam of bees came for me and my co-worker. My co-worker is allergic to bees so we did not clean those gutters. Are (clap) you (clap) kidding (clap) me?Now what do I do???? Call a bee removal service. Yes, there is a such thing as a bee removal service. Get this…. The lady that answered the phone asked me a series of questions. One of which was “are the bees honey bees?”. How would I know this???!!!She sent a representative to come to the house to determine the type of bees. Did you know that honey bees are extinct? You can’t kill them, you must instead relocate them. Lucky for me, the bees were actually wasps – who says lucky me; I have wasps ;-/
He removed the nest and cleared the leaves. We no longer have small trees growing on the roof. On the the next thing. Today I am grateful for gutter cleaners and honey 😉
